I began writing fic for the SGA characters in the Summer of 2008, with an episode tagathon challenge, wherein I agreed to write an episode tag (missing scene, alternate reality, etc.) for every episode in Season 5. I thought it would be a challenge (hence the name, heh), but I didn’t realize how hard the show’s writers would make it. I regard season five as the weakest of the seasons. Although there were some decent shows and a couple that I would call brilliant and inspired (“The Shrine,” and “Vegas”), most of them, frankly, were crap; as if the show’s writers were in a hurry to get this last season over and done with using the least amount of effort and creative care. Too bad I was too late to the party to answer such a challenge for Season 4, which I loved.
